Cool Unicode Characters: the blog

One day while I was feeling obsessive, I generated a list of Unicode characters—you know, where people have little hearts or other symbols show up in their text. There are 65,000 possible characters, or so I read the other day, but most of them are letters or characters in foreign language.

What I'm going to be doing here is sorting out the most decorative characters on the list. I'll be leaving out most of the foreign characters, including tens of thousands of kanji, unless there are special requests.

If I think it's cool or potentially useful otherwise, I will start posts for it and add to those lists.

Some characters display differently in different browsers, so you might not be able to see everything I type.
